SHOULD REI EXPAND TO SWEDEN?
REI, the national outdoor retail co-op, found only in the United States, is considering opening doors within the glacial paradise of Stockholm, Sweden. A land rife with outdoor activities, ranging from snow shoe hiking Mount Kaskasatjåkka to kayaking in the lake of Ånnsjön, Sweden is rife with both activites and people eager to opt outside.
ABOUT US
Our mission is to examine the plausibility of installing a store location of REI within Sweden, as our first international location. Due to the dense and beautiful variety of wilderness, as well as the ranges in season, climate, and outdoor activities, Sweden is a unique location which such a dynamic focus on outdoor activities. It would be a shame to not truly explore REI's potential within this beautiful country, and share our services and tools with the local people.
