RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend that REI does invest in a location in Sweden. 

Here's why:

For employers: 

  • Sweden has no legislated minimum wage, instead, employers and employees must set out in collective bargaining agreements 

  • REI must be registered at the Swedish Companies Registrations Office at http://www.bolagsverket.se/

  • REI must also be registered at the Swedish Tax office at https://www.skatteverket.se/privat.4.76a43be412206334b89800052864.html

  • Corporate tax is 22% based solely on annual profit 

  • No license or local corporate tax payable

  • Employer is required to give sick leave and pay compensation for the first 14 days of sickness 

  • Swedish Annual Leaving Act: requires 5 weeks leave for all employees
